Green Bay, WIA 539,000 square-foot medical facility awarded to us by M.A. Mortenson Construction Company of Milwaukee. Work awarded to us included Cold-formed Metal Framing, Drywall, EIFS and Acoustical Ceilings. It took an average of 65 carpenters per day to complete the project within its aggressive twelve month schedule, completed in July 2001. This project was important to Appleton Lathing, partly because it is the largest completed in the company's history and because ALC was able to complete it with its own workforce while many other trades needed to joint venture with other companies.
Outagamie County Health Center
Appleton, WI OCHC was constructed in the Spring and Summer of 2001. OCHC is a state-run assisted living facility for the elderly. The acoustic ceilings involved some high-end, noise dampening tiles and sound panels. The most striking features in these ceilings are the false skylights, created out of aluminum grid and opaque light lens and back-lit by fluorescent light fixtures. The skylights give the feel of a real skylight at a fraction of the cost.
